Lucy hails from Kwara State. She had had her higher education in the popular Ahmadu Bello University in Northern Nigeria. Though unexpected, she had been posted to Kogi State, a state constitutionally part of the North. She had hoped to be posted to Abuja (which was still in the north, but an area she was familiar with), Lagos (because she had friends and family there) or Calabar (because, well it sounded like an exciting city).

"Good morning Lucy." Magdeline (also known as Maggie) shouted. "Lucy ooooo good morning." Lucy snapped out of her thoughts and replied "good morning o jare". 
Maggie and Lucy chatted a bit, with Maggie concerned and worried if all was well with Lucy.

Hello people, 

It's been a minute or two. How are you all doing? So it's the season for love or it's it? Well Valentine's around the corner, so I did a little survey to find out what people have to say about valentine as it relates to them. The questions I asked were :

The healthy regimen continues, for today at least.
You can always look around in your kitchen or neighbourhood for what you can easily get your hands on to make a relatively healthy drink. That's exactly what I did. I used what I had at home.

In the bid to eat healthy, I am trying new food and making modifications to some well known meals. 
It's the beginning of the year after all, the least we can do is try and be healthy and hopefully, see it through to the end of the year. 
Today's dish is pancake roll. Its health factors comes from using wheat for the pancake instead of white flour, there is no added sugar and I used vegetables and minced beef as filling. You could replace the beef with minced chicken or fish. 

MoiMoilette/Moizza/Beanzza

Reinventing or modernizing African food is something quite a number of Africans are involving themselves in. 

Today's reinvented food or internationalized food is Moimoi. My friend Nabzie (@Nabzie111) tagged me on a post on instagram and that drove me to check out other posts from that IG page. The page belongs to @dooneyskitchen and it is her post on moimoilette that inspired me. The link to that post is found here: Moinlette - dooneyskitchen 

You may want to call it Moimoilette, moizza or beanzza. It has the influence of Moimoi, omelette and pizza. 

Hello 2015

Just like that, it's the end of the year. I read my friend, Etana’s review of her 2014 and I told her she had inspired me to write something. You may find nothing 'wowwy' in her story, but that's the whole point. It does not have to be loud to make all the difference.

Zara was doing everything to help her relationship grow, at least that is what she believed. She was spending more time than she usually would at Femi's. Somehow she believed the relationship would work better at way. She was practically living with him. The relationship did not seem to get better. Zara was frustrated and so was Femi. There were no butterflies. Just two people living in the same house, enduring the other's company. Zara wanted more though. Remember this is Zara's diary, so this is her side of the story. It may be that Femi was giving his all too or believed he was. 

... Because Good morning is too mainstream

Good morning can get pretty normal. Saying it in another Nigerian language would make things different and probably strike a conversation. To add to that, you would be appreciating the diversity in Nigeria. Lets shake it up for shaking up sake. I asked some of my friends what good morning is in their languages and they responded. For what its worth i hope they all actually know what it actually is in their languages. Lol. Well here goes:

Months passed by, Femi and Zara grew closer. To put it plainly, Femi and Zara were now dating. Clement, who was one of the HOX guys that had grown weak for Zara, felt a bit irked because he liked Zara and had been making plans to ask her out but alas he was tortoise, not a successful tortoise. Zara's office, Fabuleux, was opening a new branch in Kaduna. Zara had never been to Kaduna but she liked the thought of going there. Why? Femi worked in Kaduna. She'd have the opportunity to meet with him. Yes they had started dating but they hadn't met yet.

Zara got added to HOX by Eunice. She barely said hi in the group before she heard her name called out in the office. Her boss needed her. For what?, she wondered, after all, he had loaded her desk with work fit for five people. Dropping her phone in her office drawer, she stood up and went to meet her boss.
